Informed choice

IVF or natural conception?

Both paths have their place. This page exists to help you choose with clarity, not with pressure.

Our position

Both paths have their place

We are not here to steer you. We are here to make sure the choice is genuinely yours.

Medical treatment has its place

IVF and other assisted reproduction help a great many couples, and for some it is the right and necessary path. Only your doctor can assess whether it is right for you.

Natural conception has its place too

Many couples conceive without treatment, and the everyday foundations — nutrition, sleep, stress, cycle awareness — are worth supporting either way.

What The BabySutra actually is

A holistic, lifestyle and nutrition-based, non-medical program. We do not diagnose, prescribe, treat, or perform investigations.

What we will never claim

We do not guarantee conception, and we do not advise for or against IVF. Anyone promising you a certain outcome is not being straight with you.

Where we fit

Alongside, not instead

The BabySutra is not anti-IVF. Medical treatment helps a great many couples, and for some it is the right and necessary path. What we offer is different in kind: a holistic, lifestyle and nutrition-based, non-medical program that supports your body and your relationship while you decide, and alongside whatever you decide.

We do not diagnose, prescribe or treat, and we do not guarantee conception. No one honestly can. What we can do is help you improve the everyday foundations — food, sleep, stress, cycle awareness, shared understanding between partners — and help you walk into your clinic appointments with clearer questions.

Ask your clinic

Questions worth asking out loud

Bring these to your next appointment. Clear answers make any path easier to walk.

  • 1

What have our investigations shown so far, in plain language?

  • 2

What would we be treating, and why is this the right timing for us?

  • 3

What does each step involve physically, emotionally and practically?

  • 4

If we wait, what changes — and what would you suggest we do meanwhile?

  • 5

What lifestyle or wellbeing support would you recommend alongside this?

  • 6

What questions should we be asking that we have not thought of?

What to weigh

Four things couples tell us matter

Your medical picture

Only your clinician can interpret your history and investigations. That assessment leads the decision — everything else supports it.

Time and timing

How long you have been trying, and how you both feel about waiting, are legitimate parts of the conversation.

Emotional bandwidth

Treatment asks a lot of a couple. Knowing what you can hold right now is information, not weakness.

Practical realities

Work, travel, support at home and what feels sustainable all shape the path you choose. Discuss specifics with your clinic.

Next step

Want help preparing for that conversation?

A first consultation is a calm, unhurried conversation about where you are and what would genuinely help.
